INVITATION
Join us for Lama Jigme Rinpoche’s course, which is now organized in Becske, Hungary. This is a first-of-its-kind event as it offers all the richness of our typical courses with full day programs but this time in a countryside setting:
-
Lama Jigme Rinpoche’s teachings and empowerment: Lama Jigme Rinpoche gives us teachings about Death and Rebirth and an empowerment into Limitless Light (Sanskrit: Amitabha).
-
Travelling teachers’ lectures: Besides Rinpoche’s teachings, during the day and in the evenings our travelling teachers will give panel teachings on basic topics of Diamond Way Buddhism and they will share stories about their travels and experiences with the Lama (Lama Ole Nydhal).
-
Explanations on the preliminary practices: Those just starting to practice Prostrations, Mediation on Diamond Mind, Mandala Offerings or Guru Yoga will get authentic transmission of each practice from travelling teachers, following Lama Ole’s request, as accurate information and clear explanations are highly important for these mediations. These teachings may also inspire those with some experience behind them in a given practice (or doing their preliminaries for the second or third time). In order to deepen our mediation, it is useful to refresh information from time to time.
-
Meditation sessions: We can all enjoy the benefits of meditating together. Experienced meditators (people working on or having already completed their preliminaries) may use their current meditation practice while those new to meditation may use the 16th Karmapa meditation, which is the mediation we do in all of our centers. Please bring your meditation booklets.
-
Guided 16th Karmapa meditation: We’ll have the opportunity to practice this highly practical and most powerful method together, which is also the most important common meditation of our Diamond Way centers.

LAMA JIGME RINPOCHE
Lama Jigme Rinpoche is visiting Hungary at the invitation of Lama Ole.
Lama Jigme Rinpoche was born in 1949 in the Kham region of eastern Tibet into the family of the 16th Karmapa, as the brother of Samar Rinpoche. He was also a member of the group of high-ranking lamas and tulkus with whom the Karmapa left Chinese-occupied Tibet in 1959. Jigme Rinpoche, along with the regents and tulkus, received comprehensive training directly from the 16th Karmapa.
In 1975, he began his activities in Europe on the instructions of the 16th Karmapa. The Karmapa brought Jigme Rinpoche with him on his first trip to the West and, after designating Dagpo Kagyu Ling in Dordogne, France, as his European headquarters, he appointed Jigme Rinpoche as his representative.
Jigme Rinpoche is a highly respected lama who is also known for his excellent organizational skills. He has a good insight and understanding of the Western lifestyle, so his teachings are of benefit to many with his deep knowledge, practical wisdom and good humor.

LAMA OLE NYDAHL
Lama Ole Nydahl is one of the few Westerners fully qualified as a lama and meditation teacher in the Karma Kagyu Buddhist tradition. In 1969, Ole Nydahl and his wife Hannah became the first Western students of H.H. the 16th Gyalwa Karmapa. Karmapa is the leader of Karma Kagyu Buddhism and is considered one of Tibet’s greatest yogis.
Karmapa ensured that both received a full three-year Buddhist training, as well as several other high-level Diamond Way transmissions. After their years of study, he sent them back to Europe with the request that they make the timeless teachings of the Buddha available to the Western world and establish meditation centers where people could receive authentic information about Buddhist methods and learn to meditate.
Fulfilling his teacher's wishes, Lama Ole has established almost 600 Diamond Way meditation centers in 65 countries over the past years. His role has been enormous in the process that has resulted in the Buddha's teachings not only being known in museums and history books, but also being used as a living practice that can be incorporated into everyday life.
