CHILDREN AT THE COURSE
Families with children are also welcome at the course! There is a playground area with a 250 square meter tent (nearly 2,700 square feet) and a yard around it where kids can play safely without disturbing the program. Play areas are created for three different age groups in the tent and also in the yard. However, there are some conditions for kids to attend the course, so if you come with an underage child, please read this page carefully.
GENERAL INFORMATION FOR PARENTS ARRIVING WITH CHILDREN
Please keep in mind that underage children can only stay at the course site (the entire building complex of Jégpalota) with adult supervision. So please make sure that you either watch your children yourself at all times or you drop them off for supervised childcare at the ChildGarden, specifically designed and created for our children to have fun in a safe environment and so we can all develop joyfully together.
250 square meter tent, fenced yard, toilets & lavatory for children.
Playground for three age groups (for 0-3, 4-6, and 7-12 year-olds).
Children are allowed to stay in the ChildGarden either under parental supervision or registered for supervised childcare provided free of charge by our team.
Kids aged 13-16 years are free to come and go on their own.
Children with infectious diseases are not allowed to attend the ChildGarden.
Childcare is only available during Lama Ole’s lectures and our capacity is limited for 50 children (and only for those above age 4).
The childcare team works with professional childcare workers and qualified kindergarten teachers.
Fun and interesting activities for several age groups.
Ball games, races, dancing. etc.
Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 15:00 until Lama Ole’s lecture ends.
(If there is a change in the program, you can get information about the ChildGarden’s opening hours from the team there.)
You can register your child for childcare in the ChildGarden tent only in person on the site and only for the given day.
Childcare registration is open from 13:00 to14:45 on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
Important note: We have a limited capacity for the supervision of children, so registration is on a first-come, first-serve basis, and we can only take the first 50 children. (Others are welcome with parental supervision.)
What to bring with you:
Indoor shoes and an extra set of clothing
Some snack and drink for your child (packed and labeled with your child’s full name)
Dropping off and picking up children at ChildGarden
If your child is registered for supervised childcare, please bring him or her to the ChildGarden tent yourself 15 minutes before Lama Ole’s lecture starts, and, similarly, please pick up your child yourself. Please make sure that you fill in the required form both on drop-off and when you pick up your child – this very brief administration is for the safety of our children.
USING THE CHILDGARDEN WITH PARENTAL SUPERVISION
With parental supervision, all children are welcome in the area of the ChildGarden during the entire course.
ChildGarden opening hours
Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 9:00 to 20:00
There may be ticks in the area of our course venue, so make sure that you check your child for ticks in the evenings.
Lama Ole’s lectures are also made available through streaming, but you need to bring your own radios and headsets for that.
OTHER PROGRAMS FOR CHILDREN IN THE AREA
There is a huge outdoor playground nearby, called Tarzan Park, which is a great place for children to have fun in an exciting and safe environment. Their website is in Hungarian, but scrolling down the page, you can check out their Galéria (=Gallery) and prices (Gyerek=Child and Felnőtt=Adult), and there is also a map at the bottom to help you find them. https://tarzanpark.hu (They are open from 9:00 to 18:00 on each day of our course.)
